Clermont-Ferrand in France is home to the Michelin rubber concern and, more interestingly for us, the fiercely independent and highly innovative Victoire Cycles, a custom workshop who has recently ventured into the cyclocross market.

Guilherme Rosa decided to support Victoire by ordering one of the new CX frames, inspired by their track frames made from limited edition tubing. These already stand next to their exceptional road and bike polo frames, and Supersprint hubs, designed in association with Chris at Bishop Bikes.

“The story of this bike is already a year old. I planned on racing the 2013 CX season and ordered this frame from Victoire in March of 2013. The frame was ready 2 months later, but I wasn’t!!! Other projects got in the way.

“The wheel set also took far too long. I guess pink 28h Chris King R45 hubs are not easily available in France! A whole year passed and now it’s finally ready for the 2014 season. I have plenty of time for training! For now it’s going to be an all-terrain road bike until the end of the summer.”

That doesn’t sound to me to be such a bad thing. Head to the Victoire Cycles website for more information. Special thanks to Gui (gui_ on Instagram) for the fantastic photography – you can see more on his flickr stream.
