At the end of January an event called Voyage À Vélo will take place in France, and while there will be an abundance of hi-viz and reflectors in attendance, a gorgeous subtle custom steel beauty will also be present, created by Auvergne’s Victoire Cycles.
Voyage À Vélo will be hosted by an organization called Cyclo-Camping International over the weekend of the 19th and 20th of January and will consist of film screenings, talks, and demonstrations by manufacturers, cycle tourists and other enthusiasts.
Auvergne’s Victoire Cycles will have a stand, and they created this magnificent tourer especially for the show, to demonstrate the joys of commissioning and riding one’s very own custom dream bike.
The fillet-brazed frame exhibits their expertise in building exceptional tourers in the style of the French constructeur. A blend of old and new, it includes a custom stem and front rack, White Industries and Campagnolo components, and SON lighting.
They also teamed up with French baggage-makers Helmut Equipement for a full set of luggage, perfectly color-matched to the gum wall tires and the gradient paintwork — from the clear coated rear to the gloss black front end.
Even the Silca pump was considered as part of the whole. There’s no doubt about it: taking this machine away for a week or a weekend away, is surely the pinnacle of the passionate long-distance and all-weather rider.
