A couple of weeks ago, we previewed the special collaboration between Paul Components and Sierra Nevada, Paul’s favorite Californian ale. And here’s the result, a combined effort between several NorCal makers — plus a few green beers.
Paul wanted to celebrate the produce of his neighboring manufacturers in a bike that would be on display at the Sea Otter Classic, over the weekend of April 19-22. He called up Squid Bikes, who provided one of their Shred To Ed’s frames and full custom paintwork.
White Industries and Velocity Rims came on board, contributing the other parts, like freewheels, cranks, rims, and the rest of the frame was dressed in a full slew of Paul Components: seat post and collar, stem, Klampers, and hubs — all anodized to match.
Now it’s up for grabs. This from Paul: “First off, Sierra Nevada will be giving this sweet bike we built away! Anybody that wants to win it just needs to visit one of the many participating stores in the Monterey, Salinas, Santa Cruz area or your local Total Wine in Sacramento starting April 1st.”
The Sierra Shredder displays shouldn’t be hard to miss! Find the “Text to Win” keyword and enter for your chance to take it home!
Before Sea Otter:
On April 14th Suzie Burger and Midtown Cruiser Shop will be hosting a ride/party in Sacramento where we’ll be showing off the bike in person, and Paul himself will be there riding and drinking beers.
At Sea Otter (April 19-22):
Squid Bikes will be painting a second Sierra Shredder frame live at the Sierra Nevada tent, the original bike will be on display, and we’ll have our own charming Lindsay there with some shiny PAUL parts to show off.
This is a complete one-of-a-kind big kid’s BMX, not to mention one of the highest-spec’d cruisers you’ll find. Ever. Best get on the program for a chance to add it to your own quiver — you won’t need a pub bike with this.
