Velo City: Bicycle Culture and City Life

CycleCraft Pro XL

CycleCraft Pro XL

CycleCraft is one of the lesser known marques of the Golden Era of Bicycle Motocross, but one that has still garnered a substantial cult following. The first year of production was 1984, which continued to about 1988. After a 10 year hiatus, CycleCraft Bicycle Company is back under a new management team, updated geometries and all of the passion and innovation the brand was established upon.

There’s obviously a strong BMX heritage behind the pages of London’s 44/16 blog, this is the editor’s project build, and is also an excursion into his past racing as a junior. Built with an all-white schematic, there’ll be no ghost bike references here. It’s a straight-up race machine, running S&M’s XLT Race fork, CycleCraft’s legendary Fred’z bars, a Profile drive train with hubs laced to Sun‘s Envy rims.

Check in to the 44/16 blog for a great mix of design and cycle-centric content.
