When it comes to Italian handmade titanium bicycle frames, Passoni is a revered name. The same goes for Café du Cycliste when you’re talking about cycling kit of the highest quality. The two boutiques have come together for an exclusive collaboration.
From the press release: We’re delighted to announce a new collaboration between French apparel brand Café du Cycliste and luxury Italian bike’s producer Passoni. Despite different backgrounds, both companies share a similar philosophy and a flair for producing unique products which work on both an aesthetic and practical level.
Both companies involve the latest technology to achieve maximum performance and both make innovative and daring design choices that manage to combine classic looks with modern styling.
As part of the joint project, Passoni have built two Café du Cycliste-liveried XXTi top of the range machines while Café du Cycliste have produced a limited edition Passoni version of their signature long sleeve jersey: Yolande.
Café du Cycliste co-founder and Design Director, Remi Clermont explained “In France and Italy we’re incredibly fortunate to have an almost uniquely rich cycling history. We feel that while Café du Cycliste and Passoni are ultra modern in many ways, we are also both continually striving to live up to this incredible heritage that we’ve been given.”
Danilo Colombo of Passoni said “our bikes marry cutting-edge technology, the highest quality components and timeless style, all elements which could equally well be applied to Café du Cycliste’s stunningly beautiful range of clothing.”
The limited edition Passoni bikes are available to rent and ride at Café du Cycliste, 16 Quai des Docks 06300 Nice.
