Blue Lug was founded in Tokyo in 2006 and is now regarded as one of Japan’s leading bicycle stores.
Today, four brick-and-mortar shops are supplemented by a cafe and a barber shop, and there’s an online store that delivers parts, clothing, and accessories worldwide. The company also owns Cook Paint Works, a custom paint shop.
Blue Lug is known for its bike-building expertise as well as its retail sales operation, with in-house facilities for ground-up customization — right down to a specialized bag designing/sewing team.
It’s been two years since Cameron Falconer blew me away with the fat-tyred mini-velo dirt shredder he built for a Japanese customer. This new lemon sherbet BMX cruiser again proves Falconer’s focus on fabricating insanely fun and functional bikes.
