There have been some great things afoot at the Dorset workshop of Sven Cycles. Darron, Mog and Steve have been extremely busy building some of the most adventurous bikes we’ve seen this year — like the incredible Surf Long Bike.
The Sven Cycles workshop fillet brazed this wonder to carry up to two 9′ surfboards, with geometry tweaked for the Jones H-Bars and a Pinion gearbox. A full suite of bags was constructed by Sealand Gear in Cape Town.
These two 27.5+ dirt tourers were constructed for a New Zealand customer and are some of the first of Sven’s new Rohloff Explorer rigs, apparently based on a very personally significant frame. The matching set will be shipped off to traverse Middle Earth to the sounds of a Led Zeppelin anthem.
Not only have Sven Cycles been active in the off-road sector, they’ve also recently built one of the best-looking eBikes we’ve ever seen, their SWIFT electric-assist bikes, utilizing the Shimano Steps system. The Brooks England blog just posted up a very informative interview with Darron about the latest developments.
