Signal Cycles Ui2 Road

Signal Cycles Ui2 Road

The dust is finally settling after the 2012 North American Handmade Bicycle Show, giving us an opportunity to absorb the vast array of beautiful bicycles that were on display. This is one of a selection of bikes built by Signal Cycles, hailing from the epicenter of the handmade bicycle, Portland.

We’ve seen plenty of bikes equipped with Shimano’s Di2, but this frame is the first seen on the pages of The Spoken which utilizes the Ultegra range. Matt Cardinal and Nate Meschke both have degrees in Fine Art Painting, and their portfolio of frames demonstrate their exemplary command of color. This road frame also shows off their ability to assemble a bike with a complementary ensemble of components. Those custom colored rims are manufactured by Corsa Concepts, who are also Portland natives. With a custom Wound Up fork up front, it’s a well-rounded package that’s guaranteed to bring a smile to any rider.

If you’d like a Signal Cycle of your own, contact Nate and Matt through their website, and browse through their other NAHBS creations on their Flickr.
