Signal Cycles Road / Rain Bike

Signal Cycles Road / Rain Bike

Every cyclist is different and, after many miles, will develop a good idea of their dream machine. Portland’s Signal Cycles created this fendered road bike for a customer that’s a direct response to his riding style and environment, finished in a most famous livery, that of the Gulf Oil racing team.

It’s destined for long-distance riding around the rugged and remote landscape in Oregon’s northwest, around Mt Hood. Weather can be more than inclement, so full fenders are a requirement. So is reliable lighting, hence the integrated Supernova dynamo hubs and lights.

A high priority was placed on creating a ‘complete’ bike: internal cable routing, matching fenders and Topeak pump with the lighting incorporated as a permanent fixture. It’s already been put through its paces and passed with flying colors, having completed numerous century and regular club rides.

Just what you’d expect from a Signal Cycle. See more details of the Road / Rain Bike on their Flickr and keep updated on workshop happenings via their website.
