Seven Angels Got My Number: Seventh Anno and Ezra

The Spoken went live seven years ago today, as Cycle EXIF, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has come along for the ride. Writing this blog — one awesome bike a day — has been an incredible learning experience.

It’s an auspicious day to remember the work of my favorite builder, Ezra Caldwell. One of his bikes was featured on the site in the first week we were online, and I had the utter honour of a good conversation with him over the years before he was taken from us by cancer in May 2014. Thank you, Ezra, for your continual inspiration.

Goodbye is too good a word, babe, so I’ll just say, fare thee well.

To all the framebuilders, contributors, riders, bike lovers and photographers from all over the world that I’ve met online and had the pleasure to meet in person, Bike EXIF founder Chris Hunter — my mentor and mate — and especially you, the readers, thank you for your time and patience.

I’m greatly looking forward to the next seven years of writing, riding, and learning about The Beautiful Machine.
