Sean and Anna Virnig of Rawland Cycles aren’t strangers to this whole ‘adventure’ or ‘all-road’ bike scenario at all. Founded in 2007, they prototyped the fat-tyred, disc-braked Ravn in 2009, along with a slew of co-models. The brand and products have just undergone a refresh, and is back with the all-new Ravn and Ulv models.
The Ravn is the taller of the two, compatible with 26″, 27.5″/650B, or 700C tyres, and is designed for the Adventure, Gravel, Rando, Bikepacking and Road Plus genres.
The Ulv is named after Odin’s warriors and is described as an Adventure, Bikepacking, Singletrack, Mid-fat Rando, 27+ Drop-Bar MTB. It’s a multi-talented dirt warrior too: able to run 27.5″/650B or 29″ tyres.

Whether you call it 650B-plus, 27.5″ mid-fat, or 27+, we believe that 650B wheels running roughly 3″ rubber make for a phenomenal experience when you’re out exploring serious singletrack, traveling long distances through the roughest stuff out there, or randonneuring into the back of beyond.
