Milholland Cycles Mike's Randonneur

Greg Morris loves lugs. It’s a fact that’s evident on each Milholland frame he assembles, even those destined for the mountain. His previous experience as a messenger in Portland also reveals itself in his design ethos: solid, reliable frames with a pared-back, traditional sense of style.

Greg has established himself an extensive portfolio of fine frames, and this randonneur he built for Mike is a magnificent addition. Greg’s custom carved lugs grace the head tube, which sits atop a custom fork. Greg prides himself on delivering a perfectly fitted frame to his customers, both ergonomically and stylistically, and won’t baulk at engineering a custom fork to achieve that goal. The frame layout is designed for long, comfortable days in the saddle and that fork will soak up any pothole or bump in the road with ease, even with a front load.

Damien Riehl used to work with Greg as a messenger in Portland, and he shot the last photo here of Mike’s Randonneur on his Hasselblad 500C/M. You can see more of his shots, and Greg’s bikes, on the Milholland flickr stream, and you can contact Greg through his website.
