Ian Sutton’s latest creation continues to demonstrate his innovative eye for design and technical ability. His Leviathan time trial bike astounded us, and this road frame for Jon is a departure from pure steel to include a touch of carbon fiber.
Ian developed his use of carbon fiber during his stint at Seven Cycles and incorporated the material into the seat stays. The paint is superb, a satin finish by Circle A Cycles. An EDGE/ENVE fork completes the front end, and, combined with a steel main frame, will produce a reliable, compliant ride. The Icarus feather head badge gives me the impression of a Mohican heritage.
Justin Keena has done a fantastic job of capturing the details, see more on the Icarus flickr stream, and bookmark Ian’s website here.
