English Cycles Di2 Tri Bike

Rob English is a well traveled-chap and many of those miles have been spent searching for an ideal occupation for a passionate cyclist. He found it in Eugene, Oregon, and is now well established in that role, creating some of the world’s leanest bicycles that aren’t shy of integrating the latest and most innovative technology.

The last English Cycle featured on The Spoken was his NuVinci-equipped cruiser and he’s already built more frames that integrate Shimano’s Di2 electronic shifting system than most other custom frame builders. Rob is quite an awarded racer, so it’s no surprise to review his portfolio and see a predominance of road and TT-style frames. This machine was built for a pro triathlete in Portland OR, and features a USB-rechargeable internal battery, a custom one-piece aero bar / stem combo and other TT refinements such as the rear brake mounted under the chain stays. The wheels are a perfect complement – Rob’s propriety hubs laced to ENVE rims with matching spokes.

If you’re heading to this years NAHBS in March, you’ll be able to meet Rob and view his latest creations. Keep an eye on the NAHBS and the English Cycles websites for updates.
