I suppose Chase Hawk’s parents had some idea what they were getting themselves in for when they named their baby. If I were Chases’s parents, I’d be a bit disappointed if he didn’t make every attempt to utilize every available vehicle to get airborne.
Getting airborne is what Chase Hawk does, and in this case, his chosen vehicle is an OS frame by Robbie Morales’ BMX company, Cult. Devon Hutchins shot these images of Chase’s OS on one of its first outings. Lucky he did, because I doubt whether it still looks as pristine as this. The purpose of these bikes is to push against their environment, whether it’s concrete, dirt, rails or stairs. The Cult OS frame features their proprietary head tube, bottom bracket shell and gussets. The S-bend chain stays enable a compliant ride, and a tapered top tube means longitudinal strength. Couple that with a Cult Sect fork and you’ve got a build that’s able to demolish anything you place in its way.
Big thanks to Devon Hutchins for the magnificent photography, and Ilyas from Devise for the tip.
