Colnago Arabesque

Colnago Arabesque

Ernesto Colnago’s Arabesque was a celebration of everything there was to love (or hate) about Italian racing steel from the early 80s. An elaborate flourish of a bicycle, it’s a tribute to the exuberant style for which the Cambiago-based maker is famous for.

Released in 1983, the Arabesque was available as a frame-and-fork only or specified complete with a Campagnolo Super Record gruppo and featured hand-carved and pantographed lug work. It was assembled from Columbus SL and Record tubing, which was ribbed in accordance with Colnago’s proprietary design. See more details on Old Klein’s Flickr stream.
