I went out for a Swiss Army Bike and came home with a Beloved-built Rapha ‘Every Day’. A member of the four bike Bicycle Collection by Rapha, this is, as the name suggests, a model for the every day. Influenced by the French ‘constructeur’ style, it’s a picture of reliable, urban elegance.
The Bicycle Collection is a series of four bikes in different genres: a continental racer, a dedicated racer, a criterium machine and this Chris King-built porteur. It features a carry-hold, a lugged and fillet brazed Columbus SL / Spirit frame and True Temper fork blades. It’s been equipped with a 5-speed internal Sturmey Archer transmission, Paul brakes, cranks and chain ring, Nitto ‘Priest’ bars and a natty Limited Edition Rapha Speedster San Marco Regal saddle. Beloved Bicycles has added a luxurious touch by the application of hand sewn leather grips, carrying handle and toe-clip covers.
