It’s encouraging to see such a world-class machine being produced in Australia. Darren Baum, has been constructing frames under the Baum Cycles banner since 1996, and has established a spectacular portfolio of bikes.
The latest Baum is a road-going frame that incorporates the new Shimano Di2 technology and is not the first Darren has built for the electronically shifting Dura-Ace group set. Baum offers Di2 integration to their Coretto frame as an option, which is increasingly becoming a popular choice. This particular Coretto has been liveried in the colors of the Gulf Oil motor sport team, which, recently, also seems to be a popular choice.
Baum Cycles can create a Coretto for you based on your specific geometry, and you can choose between a traditional or semi-sloping design. The frame is built with CWSR Grade 9 tubing and the engineering details reflect Darren’s experience as a certified aircraft engineer. Truly a bespoke, ultra high quality builder, read more about the Baum Cycles ethos on their website, and you can see their past builds on their flickr stream.
